Forty years ago (1974) a small group of pioneers left the comfort and safety of Mt Gravatt Baptist to courageously go into a new harvest field; the new suburb of Rochedale South. They met
together in humble beginnings under a house. Whilst the founding members might not have seen themselves as daring, bold or courageous, their willingness to pioneer in their neighbourhood would touch many lives. As with all God’s endeavours, this came with great sacrifice, but it also came with great reward. We are indebted to our founding pioneers for their courageous tenacity, which set an example for us to follow and a legacy to pass on to the generations to come.
